8U Softball – Player Pitch + Machine Pitch
8U softball division is for players league ages 7 and 8 (as of August 31, 2024). In this division the level of play advances to include player pitch (with machine pitch or coach pitch on ball 4), catching and base stealing with continued focus on the development of fundamentals, and fun.
This division uses a 10” RIF (reduced injury factor ball), and pitchers pitch from 30 feet from home plate.
Teams will practice 1 time per week and play games on the weekend, typically Saturdays.
There will also be weekly pitching clinics for players who wish to learn how to pitch and other additional clinics and practice opportunities.
The league may also field a post-season 8U All Star team.
